Truth

Black.
Dark black, blank black.
Lost black.
Hard black, pained black.
Long black, separate black,
Rough black.
Red.
Noticed red, full red.
Known red.
Ruined red, disguised red.
Seen red, seeing red,
Mourned red.
White.
Cleared white, glorious white.
Scourged white.
Hated white, always white.
Filled white, giving white,
Complete white.

This Beauty

Finally,
suddenly,
marvelously,
timelessly,
surprisingly
beautiful.

Ghostly,
mostly,
strangely,
amazingly,
wondrously,
mainly
beautiul.

Strikingly,
piercingly,
deafeningly,
lovingly,
echoingly,
brightly,
slightly
beautiful.

Softly,
colorfully,
almost mockingly,
frighteningly,
remembered,
discovered,
quietly,
elegantly
beautiful.

Or No You

See me. See You.
Lead me.
Found me. Find You.
Help me. Help You.
Hide me.
Break me.
Build me.
Love me. Love You.
Kill me.
Killed You.
Raise me.
Please You.
Cover me.
Tell me. Tell You.
Ask me. Ask You.
Give You.
Make me.
Take me.
Bring me.
Have me. Have You.
Live You.
Wonder me.
Scare me.
Fear You.
Save me.
Feed me.
Need You.
Want me. Want You.
Know me. Know You.

Track 02

The mind is a beautiful thing.
If only we could consistently control what we allow ourselves to
(see)
(feel)
(do)
fill it with.
The heart is a beautiful thing.
If only we could keep  it from
(feeling too much)
(seeing too much)
(doing too much)
being hurt.
The heart is a beautiful thing.
If only we could consistently control what we allow ourselves to
(feel)
fill it with.
The body is a beautiful thing.
If only we could keep these hands, these feet, these eyes, these mouths from
(doing so much[little])
(moving so quickly[slowly])
(speaking our minds, [our hearts])
(hesitating)
spouting.

I don't have a title for this piece either yet. Please let me know with reason behind your suggestion(s). Thank y'all!

Track 01

"The sunshine wakes me, the sunshine exhausts me. This sunshine sways me to sleep, this sunshine warms me. That sunshine leaves me dazed, that sunshine never stays.
Sunshine, you want me, but, sunshine, you can't see me. You aren't the only sunshine, figuratively speaking. Yet you seem the most beautiful.
Sunshine, you too hurt me, yet, sunshine, you help keep me living.
Please name another sunshine that radiates like you do. Tell me of the sunshine that's golden on long days like you.
The sunshine shows me, and the sunshine's not prose. This sunshine leaves me thirsty, this sunshine doesn't feel too strong. That sunshine holds me, and that sunshine does more than shakecomfort me."

The writing above is one of my poems, but I've been stumped on a title idea for quite a while now. "Sunshine," isn't quite what I want, but I want it to be pretty simple like that. My inspiration for this piece pretty much halted after I wrote it though, so there wasn't any further inspiration or anything for its title. I need one but want some meaning/reasoning behind it. If anyone has any ideas or anything, please let me know and give me some reason or inspiration or something to support it, please!  Feedback is much appreciated!

Our God is Greater

Saying that my God is greater also means that He has conquered sin. He's defeated death, and He constantly loves and raises us sinners into a new life. He cares for us eternally and He CHANGES us for His glory. He is bigger than other "religions." A religion is a way to live one's life, summed up. It's just one of the many things we try to do and to be with and for our lives. We all want meaning, and Christians, Catholics, Buddhists, Mormons, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, EVERYONE is looking for that. My God is bigger than the gods people try to justify. My God is bigger than our limitations and our weak, sick bodies. We pervert His goodness and He forgives us with those open arms and big eyes if we change our lives for Him. But the greater wonder of that is that HE changes our lives. He's bigger than our idols; He's bigger than the seemingly huge things we turn into our gods. So yes, He is greater. He is The Greatest. But saying that implies so much more than what is said. My prayer is that you see that; my constant prayer is that HE would make you see that.
I posted this as a note on my Facebook page a while back because the song "Our God," had been brought up in a discussion I had with a friend of mine. He visited the church service I attend on Wednesday nights one evening and our praise band led the group in worship through this song. He didn't really understand what the words were supposed to mean and took it as "chauvinistic." The lyrics read, "Water You turned into wine, opened the eyes of the blind. There's no one like You. There's none like You. Into the darkness You shine, out of the ashes we rise. There's no one like You; there's none like You. Oh, our God is greater, our God is stronger. God, You are higher than any other. Our God is Healer, awesome in power, our God. Our God. And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us? And if our God is with us, what can stand against?"
Once he told me what he thought, I tried to take into consideration all the things that should be considered in my opinion. I considered his home life, I considered his peers, but above all, I considered that he is a lost person. He isn't expected to understand the words to that song, he isn't expected to agree. As a lost person, he is unable to worship God, and that is the sole purpose of that song and its being played. It wasn't even the song that I was really even thinking about though... It was his perception of the worship and his soul's present condition. Of course he isn't going to understand what it all means- if I was not a believer, I would definitely think the same exact thing. It's sad, and it shouldn't be that way, but it is.
The point of my saying all of this was to explain the situation and circumstances behind the note above. I ask that you would pray for my friend, and pray that he sees what God is trying to make him see. I don't know if I posted that in hopes that he would read it and that it would spark something more inside of him, but I know that it's truth. God is sovereign and greatly to be praised. For whoever read this far, much thanks, and for whoever goes on to pray for my friend, I'm very grateful.

Our God is greater than our misunderstandings and misinterpretations, our God is greater than the hold Satan has on the world's minds. Our God is also greater than our word-limitations, and where I fail because I'm weak, He prevails for He is strong. May The Spirit move.
